At our unique State-of-the-Art Center, we offer the most advanced compassionate multi-disciplinary approaches to treat women from all over the country who suffer from:
At the Pelvic Pain Regional Specialty Center, we get phone calls every day from women across the nation who suffer from the symptoms and conditions we treat. These women are seeking the latest diagnostic and treatment options available. Many have seen multiple physicians who they feel have not totally grasped the complexity of their problems and have not found a way to effectively manage their symptoms. We see many women (and their partners) who feel frustrated, depressed, exasperated, and even hopeless -- starting to believe that they may never feel “normal” again. It is not unusual for our patients to have been told previously that there is little/nothing wrong with them, that there‘s nothing more that can be done, that they “just need to live with it”, or even that the pain is “all in their heads”…but these women know better. They are seeking validation and a better understanding of what is going on with their bodies so they can feel better and get on with their lives. They want effective treatment so they can go back to being the wives, Moms, lovers, successful career women -- vital human beings -- that they know they can be. We are here for these women to help them get their lives back. Perhaps we can be here for you too. While each woman’s story is unique, perhaps the most common symptom our patients come to us experiencing is pain during sex. Many women we see are surprised to learn that they are suffering from multiple conditions that are interrelated rather than a single cause of their pain…which often explains, in part, why previous attempts to address their symptoms have failed. Research in this emerging “subspecialty” clearly indicates that in order for a woman to achieve significant resolution of Pelvic Pain, all underlying issues must be addressed in a coordinated integrated manner. Particularly if the pain has been present for 3 months or more (or years, as often is the case), nerves and muscles may be involved and appropriate therapies that impact them will be a critical part of successful treatment. We specialize in this day in and day out. We have seen literally thousands of women living with these symptoms and conditions and we are pleased to report that the vast majority experience significant resolution of their symptoms under treatment at the Pelvic Pain Regional Specialty Center. What we most often hear from the women we see is “I just wish I had found you sooner!”. Some Words from our Founding Medical Director
“Throughout my 25 years of practicing Gynecology and Obstetrics, I have seen thousands of women suffering with recurrent, persistent, or chronic pelvic pain. Until very recently, there were few sources of information and limited treatment options available for these unfortunate women; often they searched unsuccessfully from doctor to doctor seeking help. Thankfully, learning in this specialized area of gynecology is expanding rapidly, and new approaches to diagnosis and treatment have now been identified. I have had the privilege of traveling and studying with leading physicians nationally within this exciting field. I am thrilled to be able to bring the most up-to-date knowledge, integrated practice principles, and highest quality of care to the women of this Region and beyond.” Robert L. McQuady, M.D. To read an article about Pelvic Pain published by Dr. McQuady, you’ll want to download this article written for Kentuckiana HealthFitness Magazine: Again, if you are suffering from Chronic Pelvic Pain, we encourage you to call the Pelvic Pain Regional Specialty Center, PLLC at (502) 899-3009 in Louisville, KY to schedule an evaluation.
